Not much to report on, work has eaten me alive the last week and a half or so.

However, I do have Goodreads up, both for my author page and for The Martian Incident. I’m not sure how I’m going to use it yet, but feel free to follow me and shelve my book!

The mailing list is live too, sign up to get a free short story, probably my favorite that I’ve written. It’s a little longer than I originally wanted it to be, probably why it hasn’t gotten picked up for a magazine, but I love it even at 7,000 words.

Prolegomenon is slowly coming together – 71,000 words out of a now-planned 78,000 – but I’m realizing that I need some more “showing” early, probably will have to add a chapter or two to the first part of the book. I’m hoping to get it to betas sometime in September or October, edit it heavily, and release it once I’m feeling comfortable about it.

Lag Delay is still in security review. I think I’m going to cut one of the plots I was planning to add – a NASA IG investigation into financial impropriety at the defense contractor Aering (totally made up, no relation to an American aerospace conglomerate with a similar name). I really want to focus on the character subplot I’m adding and I think the current non-character stuff stands fine as-is. Still hoping to release that early next year.
