November Update

Not much to talk about. I’ve been busy on the “real job” front and haven’t had much time to write. Might have some big announcements soon, but I don’t want to put the cart before the horse.

The Martian Incident is done. Done, done, done. I just need to upload the final manuscript to Amazon and let it go live. I’m super-pumped for the launch on December 5! I have absolutely no idea how it’s going to go, so it’ll be an adventure for sure. Then, I have Lag Delay to clean up and get to the same state. I was planning on a February release, but I’m not going to be able to get it ready in time, so I’ll be targeting mid-to-late March.

Then, it’ll be onto The Europan Deception – my “one golden idea” that I’ve been working on since I was in high school almost two decades ago. I am going to rewrite large parts of it and add some additional POVs, and try to really increase both the grit and the scale, two things the current draft is missing. I’m probably going to keep 70% of my current draft, just fit in a different order. But, since it’s the first in the series, I really need to make sure I have a sound foundation before I write the sequels. That’ll be the next one out of the gate, I plan on having it done by the end of June 2024, to the Pentagon for security review, and then publish it in 2025. But that’s a long ways off….
