November 2025 Start-of-Month

Going to be another lowkey month before December, at least unless the New Glenn manage to pull the launch date for the rocket that my prototype satellite I’ve been working on for the last year will be flying on to the left.

Writing

For November, beta feedback on The Europan Deception is still coming in so that’s on the back burner. I’ll have a lot of critique swaps to do as well, but I love beta reading so that won’t be an issue.

I’d like to get to about 45,000 words of Crush Depth done, which will take me to about the halfway point, and finish my “Gargoyles” short.

And just as importantly, I’d like to get my 2025 planned out. I have lofty goals – a book edited & published, another edited & ready to publish, two books drafted, three books outlined, and 4 short stories complete – so I need to make the best use of my limited time.

Reading

This month, I’ll be reading:

  • The Forsaken Planet by Bryan Wilson
  • Angelmass by Timothy Zahn
  • Conqueror’s Legacy by Timothy Zahn
  • The Archipelago on Fire by Jules Verne
  • Song of Kali by Dan Simmons
  • The Last Kingdom by Steve Berry (try #2, DNF last time)

Video Games

I’d like to beat Prey (2017) – I’m about a quarter of the way in – and then start the Call of Duty: Cold War campaign. I got about a third of the way into it before I upgraded my computer…and now I can’t find my save file, so I’ll have to start over. Not a huge issue.

And, of course, I’ll be playing a lot of Black Ops 6, both Warzone and zombies. It’s their best effort in a while and actually worth paying for it on launch.

Have a great November!
