Last month of the year! And what a year it’s been. I released my 2nd book, left the military, joined Blue Origin, and finally finished The Europan Deception. Here’s what’s on tap for December:
Writing
Would love to get to 60,000 words done of Crush Depth. 15,000 words/month is a lot less than I did earlier this year but it’s still doable. Once I get to around that point – when the USS Arizona is first attacked – I will be able to reuse a lot of chapters from the last draft.
I’ll keep working on The Europan Deception with self-editing as feedback slowly trickles in. Editing in earnest will start in January.
I also will plan out my 2025, the yearly goals of which will come in a separate blog post. It’s mostly done, but I need to polish up some details.
Reading
This month, I plan on reading:
- The Treadstone Transgression by Joshua Hood
- Sword Song by Bernard Cornwell
- Antarktos Rising by Jeremy Robinson
- Beggars in Spain by Nancy Kress
- The Halley Traveler by Mike Mollman
Video Games
I’ll probably finish the campaigns for both Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Call of Duty: Cold War while continuing to play Black Ops 6 with my buddies.
Here’s to finishing the year strong!
