June 2025 Wrapup

It’s been a very busy month, but I still got a lot of writing done!

Crush Depth

Crush Depth‘s 2nd draft is done and I’m doing a round of self-edits before I get it to my alpha and beta readers and into manuscript swaps. It’s good, but definitely needs some more work, and having some additional eyes on it would be great. Hoping to get it to the Pentagon by the end of the year for an early 2026 release.

The Saturn Anomaly

It’s going great. I was shooting to have 30,000 words done, I’m just under 50,000. It’s slowed down a bit, and will be a slower July, but I’m hoping to have The Saturn Anomaly through a beta round and the Pentagon this year. I’d love to have it released in December of 2025, 2 years after The Martian Incident! It’s great, very Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child meets Tom Clancy meets A.G. Riddle, and I think it’s going to be my best book yet. Being able to work in late Cold War-era aerospace tech is really, really fun to write!

Other Stuff

I’m outlining The Saturn Anomaly‘s sequel, The Kuiper Dominion, and that’s going really well, I’m about halfway done. I’ve also been doing some work on Memento Vivere – I haven’t forgotten about it! – and my yet-unnamed historical pirate fantasy. But that’s all in the background. I’ve learned that I need to finish one series before I start on another one, and the series starting with The Martian Incident is the easiest one to knock out.

That’s my problem though – I have too many projects going and I’m not finishing enough of them. Going to have to buckle down in July and the rest of the year and knock some of them out!
