Going to be a busy month between work, my wife’s grad school, my older two on swim team, and a couple of vacations. Still planning on getting a lot done!
Reading
This month, I want to get through:
- Condor’s Fury by Graham Brown
- My Brother’s Keeper by Tim Powers
- Return to Glory by Jack McDevitt
- The Last Kingdom by Steve Berry
- Doorway to the Stars by Jack McDevitt
A bunch of these are books I’ve either bought and put off reading, or am getting from the library after being on an extended waiting list. We’ll see how it goes.
Writing
Plan is to write/edit 2 chapters of Crush Depth and The Europan Deception a week, while pecking away at Journey (the Trials sequel). I expect to get to about 20,000 words of Crush Depth and 30,000 words of The Europan Deception – almost exactly at the end of Act I for both books.
Trials is out with my beta readers, and feedback – mostly positive – is trickling back in. Need to get it to the Pentagon for review. Edits are planned for September. I’m hoping to get through Journey this fall, then Hero, and finally rapid-release all three in 2025.
