New Glenn Launch!

I don’t necessarily advertise it, but I work for Blue Origin, have been since I left the military in May of last year. I’m not part of the New Glenn business unit, but I worked on the Blue Ring Pathfinder space vehicle that was the payload of the inaugural launch last night. It’s a huge accomplishment for the company, my twelfth (!) launch that I’ve directly supported, and a big milestone in spaceflight. We didn’t catch the booster but collected a ton of data to help us get the next one. I joke at work that I want to “make sci-fi real,” and this launch helps us get to a multiplanetary future…hopefully more like Star Trek than The Expanse or Warhammer 40K!
